Fairy of a Hundred flowers

I wanted to interpret a work by Gustav Klimt in my style, and I chose “Silhouette I & II” created in 1912 through the period of his gold phase. I love this piece for its influence on Japanese art from the Edo period with their flat surfaces that are paid the same detailed attention as the lifelike faces of their characters. Klimt was never in Japan but this work has an incredible influence on Japanese art and culture. For me it is as if these two cultures, the Japanese and the European encounter in this work.
