A Night Out

This piece represents the new found freedom women experienced in the 1920s. I am fascinated by this time period, especially the fashion, so that was something I wanted to showcase. The 1920s is famous for its dropped-waist dresses, boyish styles, and bobbed hair. Quite often though, these fashions are misrepresented in the media and film. I wanted to show an accurate depiction of a 1920s woman out on the town. I researched historically accurate garments, hairstyles, shoes and handbags for this piece and I am very happy with the result!
