Haley Hebert
Pottery Instructor
Haley Hebert is a ceramic-focused artist with a BFA from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Her work explores the relationship between humans and the natural world, questioning ideas of stewardship and the familiar “Mother Earth” narrative. She imagines the Earth as a lover and friend, emphasizing relationships built on care, responsibility, and reciprocity.
Her pieces are often colourful and playful, inviting viewers in while encouraging deeper reflection on how we exist within complex ecosystems. Organic patterns and forms reflect the intricacy of natural systems. Working primarily with clay and natural materials, Haley is drawn to the physical act of building and transforming matter by hand. Her body becomes both a tool and a record of the process, shaping the clay while leaving traces of her touch and movement.
Alongside her studio practice, Haley has worked with youth in summer camps and arts programming and aims to expand her teaching through community-based art education.
