Semiahmoo Arts Instructor - Tony O'Regan

Tony O’Regan was born in Ireland, and grew up in the U.S. before settling in Canada. He graduated in Visual Art (Hons. Painting) and Environmental Design (MEDes/Arch) with a thesis on the design of an R&D (research and design) facility for submersibles/robotics.

For many years, Tony was a designer and illustrator with architectural firms specializing in civic buildings. He is also a painter who has exhibited works in oil, watercolor, acrylic.

For almost three decades, Tony has been teaching painting, drawing, and sculpture at Emily Carr University of Art & Design (since 1997), and has also taught garden design at the University of British Columbia, and interior design at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.  

Tony lives in South Surrey and has been instructing classes at Semiahmoo Arts Society since 2016.
