The arts have been proven to offer a vast array of benefits for mental health and mental wellbeing. It is great for all ages and all creative levels. We are all creative beings and tapping into that creativity can unlock tools, resources, and resilience we can use, wherever we are on our mental wellness journey. Engaging in the arts in this way leaves behind the need for perfection and allows for therapeutic journeys in creativity.
Our Arts Sandbox program invites you to play with the arts. We invite our community to use arts for wellness, through groups offered to underserved populations and an Art Hive offering free art activities at our location and around the Peninsula. This programming is offered through the support of grant funding and donations of both money and art supplies from our community.
