Fearless Fall

Fearless Fall: Ranu Chakraborty

Falling through

Description: In this unprecedented time, everyone and everything seems to be in a surviving mode. Who knew we had to go through this time, this Autumn, we are all sitting home and thinking when will it get normal again, when will we start appreciating the nature again, going out with friends and having fun, which used to be simple and normal activities, feels like a dream now. Everyone is effected by it, but in my opinion, the young generation, teenagers are the mostly effected. Like my son, every teenagers are sitting home and praying that this trying time gets over soon and they can go out and meet their friends and have fun, chatting face to face again, hugging and teasing each other. Through my artwork, I wanted to bring out the loneliness and the waiting state of our young generation, I was trying to feel their pain, which can’t be explained in words.

My dog

Description: The world is trying to fight this pandemic, trying to do their part. Staying home, flattening the carve etc. Why “Social distancing” ? I think it should be called “Physical distancing”, because we can still stay close socially and stay apart physically. I don’t have a pet. But I wish I had one, a small dog, who will accompany me in this difficult time. I wish I would walk along with my dog, play with him. It will make me happy, it will make me alive again, in this time of loneliness.
