Produced in partnership with Crescent Housing Society, and presented by Schill Insurance, 2026 Paint the Town will kick-off with a community plein air painting event on Saturday July 25, followed by a two-month exhibition, and culminate in an art auction on Friday Oct 2.

How To Participate
Painting Event
July 25, 10am – 2pm | Two locations
For a $5 registration fee, pick up your canvas on and painting supplies (if needed) on July 25 at one of two locations: Memorial Park or Ocean Park Village. Then paint “plein air” at a location of your choice on the Semiahmoo Peninsula.
Registration will open early June.
Exhibition
July 27 – Oct 4 | Turnbull Gallery
Enter your painting in the exhibition to be eligible for community voting and possible inclusion in the Oct 2 auction. Finished work must be submitted by 5pm on July 25.
The community will be invited to visit the exhibition and vote for their favourites. The painting with the most community votes will be awarded a cash prize.
Auction
Oct 2, 7 – 9pm | Turnbull Gallery
Get ready for a fabulous evening of local art, local wine, live and silent auction, and excellent company. Buy yourself a painting of an iconic local spot and support local artists and SAS program accessibility. Auction proceeds will be shared between the artist and Ulee’s Fund, SAS’ arts access fund.
