Winter Solstice 2021

Linda Morris

I am a local artist who paints mostly in oils, I do many subjects and also do commissions. I am a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, Arts Council of Surrey, Langley Arts Council; South Surrey, White Rock Art Society and Semiahmoo Arts. My journey in the arts has taken me to many different places, but I always come back to oils as this is my favourite medium. I try to capture the light in many of my paintings, giving the painting a “glow” when I can, this inspires me and uplifts me, and I hope it also inspires others who look at my work.

Winter Wonderland #1

Winter scenes are particularly captivating when the last rays of the sun gently fade in the distance. This brings harmony and peace to the scene and looks forward to what the next day can bring.

Medium: Oils on Canvas

Size: 8″x10″

Winter Wonderland #2

This winter scene reminds me of when we lived in Prince George and had the mountains of snow to play in.  Winter has a special place in my heart, and I love when we do have snow here, even a little, for the Christmas lights to dance off of making the scene so special.

Medium: Oils on Canvas
