Paint The Town Exhibition

Enter your artwork into the 2026 Paint the Town Exhibition to be eligible for juried and community voting prizes, as well as possible inclusion in the Oct 2 art auction.  

Artists will be notified in late September if your piece has been selected for auction. Auction proceeds will be shared 70% to the artist and 30% for Ulee’s Fund. The Juried and Community Vote prizes are $250 each and will be awarded at the October 2 auction. 

Artwork Submission Guidelines

 

1. The Artist must:

  • Have registered for the Paint the Town plein air painting event.

  • Agree to the submit the artwork to the October 2 auction if it is selected. Artists will be notified to pick up artwork not selected for auction.

2. Artwork submitted must:

  • Be an original painting by the artist.

  • Have been produced on the Semiahmoo Peninsula.

  • Feature a plein air (outdoor) subject with the Semiahmoo Peninsula location identified as part of the submission. 

  • Be no smaller than 8”x8” and no larger than 30”x30”.

  • Use traditional and/or non-traditional painting mediums, including but not limited to watercolour, oil, acrylic, gouache, tempura, inks, and collage. 

  • Be ready to hang with hanging hardware. 

  • Be dropped off at the Semiahmoo Arts Society office located in the South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre no later than 5pm July 25, 2026. Early submissions will be accepted but must be arranged by calling the SAS office.
